Touran Great For Family Holidays

In August 2010, the New VW Touran was updated with the newer Golf VI platform, which included new features such as Light-Assist for Xenon Headlights, an improved Park-Assist Method for perpendicular parking positions, infotainment systems & improved aerodynamic.

The Volkswagen Touran was launched in 2003 to fill a gap in the model line-up below the Sharan, VW's large MPV. The VW Touran was the first production vehicle in the Volkswagen Group to be released with the new ParkAssist expertise, it senses up to 30 km/h to select whether the Touran will slot in the parallel parking position.

There's new engines available, the one.2 with 77 kW (105 PS; 103 hp) & one.6 CommonRail TDI with 77 kW (105 PS; 103 hp); the Touran is also available as a BlueMotion model, Volkswagen's low fuel consumption vehicle program.

The diesel engines offer higher readings for miles per gallon; you can accomplish 60 mpg in a diesel Touran in proper conditions. The Touran has a & six-speed manual transmission, Tiptronic six-speed automatic transmission & DSG twin-clutch automatic transmission.

The Touran has lots of legroom for a seven seater; the third row seats fold to have a large 695 litres of boot space which is great when going on relatives holidays.

All VW Touran's come standard with head & side airbags for the front passengers, curtain bags to provide better side protection. Anti-lock brakes & electronic stability control are as well as a standard fit, as well as an alarm. The Touran received an overall five stars in the EuroNCAP crash safety check for passenger & pedestrian safety.
